1. Organic Nectars Raw Agave Syrup is a delicious slo-carb food and is low glycemic, meaning that it is suitable for diabetics. While sugar has a glycemic index of 100, Organic Nectars' raw agave nectar has a glycemic index below 40. That means that our agave is safe for many diabetics and others not wanting the typical highs and lows experienced with sugar in-take. Since the "diabesity" epidemic is growing rapidly, slo-carb, low glycemic food products are more essential than ever, and the trend towards these foods is also growing exponentially.

2. Organic Nectars Raw Agave Syrup uses the highest quality agave variety, yielding the lowest glycemic agave syrup on the market. Unlike other major brands that use the Blue Weber variety, Organic Nectars uses a heartier variety that yields a lower glycemic, better tasting syrup. And we do NOT use agave plants used in the manufacture of tequila (as most agave brands do) Organic Nectars is not subject to the politics or price fluctuations of the tequila industry and can ensure a stable, rich supply.

8. Organic Nectars' agave is sweeter than sugar so cooks will generally use approx. 25-35% less agave than they would sugar. Our agave syrup is sweeter than sugar, but you will want to experiment with small quantities as you substitute agave for other sweeteners to ensure that you have the right blend of ingredients before you commit to large batches.
